Candidate FAQs — Dunbar Brown Group

Question 1

How does the process work for me as a candidate?

Accepted Answer

Get in touch with a brief note about your background and what you're looking for. We'll have an honest conversation about the market, what's available, and whether there's a fit. We won't send your CV anywhere without your explicit consent.

Question 2

Do you charge candidates?

Accepted Answer

No. Our fees are paid entirely by the hiring organisation. There is no cost to candidates at any stage of the process.

Question 3

Do you handle contract roles as well as permanent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We place both contract and permanent professionals. Contract placements are common in the consultancy market, particularly for project-based data platform work.

Question 4

What seniority levels do you recruit for?

Accepted Answer

We work across mid-level to senior and leadership roles — from experienced data engineers and analytics consultants through to practice leads, heads of data, and GTM directors.

Question 5

Do you only place people into consultancies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We focus exclusively on the data and AI consultancy market.

Question 6

I'm not actively looking but open to the right opportunity — is it worth talking?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Some of the best introductions we make are with people who weren't actively searching. A conversation costs nothing.

Question 7

How do you handle my CV and personal data?

Accepted Answer

We treat your information with care. We will never share your CV or personal details with a client without your explicit agreement.

Question 8

Do you have roles in the US as well as the UK?

Accepted Answer

We operate across the UK and into the US market, primarily supporting UK-headquartered consultancies expanding into North America.
